I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
